Using the Internet

I'm seriously considering deleting this blog (or letting it gather digital dust) because hardly any one reads it. The people who do are all spam bots.
Right now I'm trying to find my place on the internet. Its a big place, why not. There isn't much to do irl.
In my earlier history with the internet I would only be on a site for under a year, then it would bore me/ I'd find a new place. My last  haunt was tumblr, but I haven't found any place since. I want a place where I can share pictures, websites and thoughts about a wide range of topics. I think the best way to do all of that is a blog. But blogs have to be so formulaic. You have to have one topic and post on a schedule. But obviously I can't handle that. There are some weeks where I do nothing. There are some weeks where loads of stuff happens. There are some weeks where things happen, but I don't feel like posting.
Then there is the issue of topic. I like lots of stuff. I like cute animals, feminism, random real life updates, video games, and ranting. Especially ranting. But not every one likes that combination.
Which leads me to the worst part of it all. I need people to read what I do. It makes me feel important in a little way. People have taken time out of their lives to read and comment on what I do. I tell myself this is because I want friends, but really I want fans.
In the mean time, I guess I'll let all of my good blog ideas fester in the back of my mind.
Its getting annoying.

I realize I like to know the negatives of popular things. Like when that dove commercial was going around, where the women described their selves and some dude drew them. The first couple of times I saw it I didn't feel like watching the video. But when I saw an article criticizing it I jumped on it.
I don't know what it is, I prefer critical articles (some times). My theory is that critical articles are more passionate. Go on Amazon and read some product reviews. 5 star reviews are like "good product. as advertized". While negative product reviews have CAPS LOCK ON AND A BUNCH OF EXCLAMATION POINTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They're just more interesting. But on the other hand I'm trying to be more positive and less cynical. Oh well.

The Sneaker Coloring Book

I bought the Sneaker Coloring Book (16.36) on Amazon recently. Why doesn't like a good wholesome colouring book, and such a novel topic at that.
I'm no sneaker fanatic, but I do like looking at the pictures and making up cooler combinations that whats usually in stores.
In the corner of each drawing is information of the model, company and year released. It also has a spot for the colourist's name and the date it was finished.

13 Reasons Why Movie

I recently went to the teen lit conference in Denver and Jay Asher was one of the keynote speakers. (Side note, he's  really cool and I liked him) During his speech he said he was talking to Selina Gomez about adapting his book 13 Reasons Why (or Th1rteen R3asons Why) into a movie (with Gomez as Hanah). I'm not interested to see any book as a movie, I just don't see is as necessary, but I'm really pessimistic about this one. The story telling style is what makes the book so great, how would they translate that? The shift between Clay and Hanah is signified by italics and normal. How would they show this in the movie? I guess some pro director could figure it out, but it could easily be messed up. Its also a really emotional novel, which is easy to portray in the written format; you just tell the readers how to feel, but if you watch a person, the viewer may not see all the emotions.

Animal Friendly

I have decided to expand my cruelty free life style to the things I buy. I'm already a vegetarian (I was raised that way) and now I'm going to try to find cosmetics that were not tested on animals and probably vegan ingredients (I don't know how hard that is to find) and stop buying leather. I'm planning on featuring companies that fit these guide lines and reviewing products. I have found the leaping bunny program that lists all cruelty free beauty products, so go there if you want a full list now.

Dot Nails

I really need to start blogging nails again. For some reason people are still looking at my old nail pictures even though the quality of the pictures are terrible.
I did this with my new dotting tool. I think its cute.

Rando

I recently downloaded an app called Rando. I don't know if its on android, but its free in the app store. You take pictures that are framed as a circle. You send them out and receive a picture from a random person.
All the pictures are screened, if that sounded suspicious to you. Not every picture is that good, but you get some interesting ones. I wish you could save them to your phone.
